Dear Athol Committee and Community Members:
The election of the Executive positions will be taking place on Monday May 11th at 7 pm the Athol Town Hall.
A representative from the County will be present to conduct the elections and answer any questions or concerns about the voting process, the new process of Council appointments to Committees and the Terms of Reference, which will detail how Recreation Committees will run going forward.
Those of you who submitted the application forms for appointment should have been notified by Council.
Of these 9 appointments we will require a Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer and Secretary.
Please note you can only vote if you have been appointed by Council and are in attendance. However all are welcome to attend the meeting.
If you have been appointed by Council and would like to run for one of the executive positions, but cannot attend the meeting, you may submit your request to run in writing to me. (susanwallis@kos.net) I will then pass it onto the County Representative who will be conducting the elections.
The Athol Recreation Committee has had a wonderful past year, with great plans in the works for the 2015-2016 season, which will be instituted by our new committee.
