with over 180 tickets sold!!!

Thank you to our celebrity bakers Miss Lily’s Cafe, Anne House of Mad Dog Gallery, Graham Davies, the Bald Photographer, Christine Renaud, Cynthia Peters of From the Farm Cooking School and especially Meghan and David of the  Regent Cafe who went all out and  baked the  most beautiful

“fit for a queen” cake that we raffled off and raised $105.  

The winner of the Regent Cafe Raffle Cake was the  lucky Bev Williams of Athol!

Heart felt thank you to Glen Wallis of the

Athol Recreation Centre

who for a 2nd year took  the lead  role on

organizing this wonderful event in addition to  

baking 10 cakes!!!!

provided us with

the most delicious strawberries at a generously reduced price to

help us reach

our fund-raising goal!

All monies from this event will go back into the  Athol Recreation Centre’s programming budget that will continue to provide the Athol community with wonderful events like the upcoming Cherry Jubilee , a day of live music, food,  a scavenger hunt, evening dance and more on July 28th 2012.

To celebrate the end of our Games Nights for the season (we start back up in September) we are having a pot luck dinner this Friday starting at 7:30pm.

Bring your dish of choice….salads, pastas, desserts, your favourite meat dish and join us for a potluck dinner followed by ping pong, cards, scrabble and more!

PLEASE NOTE WE ARE STILL LOOKING FOR BAKING DONATIONS SO PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD.

Donated Cakes can be dropped off any time after noon on Wednesday the 27th of June

to the Athol Hall Centre at 1685 County Road #10.

Here are the other times that we could use your help.

If you can only help on one of the days we could probably use your help more setting up and serving on the day of rather than hulling the night before.

Tues. June 26th 5-7pm  HULLING (bring your own knife) at Athol Rec. Centre

Wed. June 27th noon-4pm SET-UP and CAKE DROP OFF

Wed. June 27th 5-7 pm SERVING

Wed. June 27th 7-8 pm CLEAN-UP
