THE TORONTO ZOO Adopt-a-Pond Program presents ‘FROG WATCH & TURTLE TALLY’ from 11am to 2pm
Watch Toronto Zoo’s presentation (designed for a family audience) from 11 to 12 at the Athol Hall, then drive of walk (less than 1km) for a free hotdog BBQ lunch at a frog and turtle pond!
East Lake, and the marshes surrounding it, are filled with many exciting species of wildlife, like the rare blue leopard frog and painted turtles! At this family event, children will learn how to identify local frogs and turtles and how to send their tallies to update the Zoo website. A trip to a local pond will help foster a continuing interest in these species and their natural habitat.
Pre-register recommended: Barbara or Colin 613.476.5024 or email foel@bell.net with your name and number of people attending.
Great initiative! I am continually impressed by the number and the variety of events you guys put on! Unfortunately, we will be in Toronto at our granddaughter’s birthday on Saturday. Keep up the good work! Cheers, Karen Date: Tue, 21 May 2013 19:14:08 +0000 To: karenempringham@hotmail.com
