On Sunday, March 18th the Athol Town Hall was alive with music and dancing with the return of the Fiddleheads!

Thanks to Donna Kaye who led the event again this year and to our volunteers Candace, Gavin, Ramesh, Susan and Glen.

This past Sunday’s Scrabble Drop-in winner was Mary Brett with a total score from 2 games of 352.

Taste That Comedy Troupe will be back this April with Comedy Nights in the Valley starting April 21st and throughout the Spring into the Summer. Mark your calendar.

In response to the great attendance at our last Scrabble Tournament, we are hosting a once a month Sunday Scrabble Drop!

Mark these following dates on your calendar.  

March 11^th,  April 8^th, May 13^th

and June 10^th

from 1 pm to 4 pm

Light snacks and beverages will be provided.

Prize for top scorer.

This is a FREE event!

We had a wonderful turn out at our 6th annual Scrabble Tournament this past Sunday.  24 players in all playing 2 rousing games of Scrabble.  The afternoon was enhanced mid way by a lovely potluck lunch.

But in the end there could be only be one winner!   Susan Lockwood won with a 2- game combined score of 422, with  2 bingos in her 2nd game!!!! Followed by Jennifer Cobb  in second, Chris Pengelly in third and Pia Grayman in fourth.

BIG NEWS for Scrabble Lovers:  On behalf of the Athol Rec.Committee Diane Ferrier and Angela Adams will be hosting monthly Scrabble Drop-ins,  one Sunday a month at the hall in Cherry Valley.  Beverages and snacks will be provided and  a prize for the top scorer.  Dates to be posted soon,  so stay tuned!!!!
