FLOUNDERING 

FREIDA 

The mysterious mermaid of East Lake is back! Freida roams the icy surface of East Lake throughout the winter months, longing for the ice to melt so she can return to the lake.

Freida has been seen by many a fisherman over the years, but has never been caught.

Participate in our 50-50 draw – guess what day and time the ice will melt on East Lake, to allow Freida to return her watery home! 

Tickets: $2 each or 3 for $5! 

Tickets are available at the following locations:

The Store in Cherry Valley (old variety store) on County road 18

The Cherry Valley Restaurant 1533 County Road 10

and at all Athol Recreation Centre events.

( Monies raised go towards funding  future Athol Rec. Centre Events)

The coveted Athol Scrabble Champ award nicknamed the “Golden Hoot” was made by Recreation Committee member Glen Wallis.

The Winner is Sarah Keelan-Bishop accepting the “Hoot” award from award maker Glen Wallis.
