Last Sunday afternoon the Athol Recreation Centre was filled with the sights, smells and textures of the holiday season during local Cherry Valley resident Jutta Naim’s, Sticks and Stones workshop. Beautiful arrangements for the holiday table were created under the inspirational guidance of Jutta.  The workshop was followed by a wonderful potluck luncheon.  Special thank you to Jutta and her group of volunteers  for making the afternoon so special.  All in attendance hope she will be back in the Spring to inspire us  once again.

Thank you to our committee members Janet Davies, Carol King and Kato Wake who put together a lovely YOGA tree on behalf of the Athol Rec.Centre for the event.  The winning bid was by  Helen Fearman at $170.  The event was sponsored by the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, with all proceeds going to support healthcare needs in our community.

The tree included a 2015 Pass to Sandbanks Park ($108),  $60 Gift Certificate for yoga classes with Carrie Taylor, 6 Yoga Classes with Carrie Taylor ($30) Thursday nights in Cherry Valley, Yoga Mat ($15), Yoga DVD ($20), ‘Yoga Over 50’ book ($10), Yoga Block ($7), 16 ‘Yoga Cards’ ($24), Incense ($6), Insulated Travel Mug ($8), Qi White Tea ($5)
