Join us tonight for our Annual General Meeting. We have a few spots on the Committee that are coming available.
We had a wonderful 2023 with the bringing back of many of our popular pre-pandemic events along with the addition of some wonderful new events.
January 15th at 6:30 at the Town Hall in Cherry Valley 1685 County Road 10.
Mandate For Recreation Committees
- Develop, coordinate, and support recreation programs and activities for the residents of the Ward.
- Be representative and responsive to the recreation, culture, and heritage needs of the Ward.
- Provide a focal point for the planning and delivery of Ward events and activities.
- Build a sense of community within the Ward and to encourage residents to get involved.
- Maintain coordination and liaise with other community groups within the Ward and other Ward Recreation Committees.
- The Ward Recreation Committees will create an environment of cooperation and liaison for County-wide recreation, culture or heritage initiatives through an informal network.
- Liaise with County staff and other user groups on recreation facility capital needs and plans
Eligibility:
All applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- I am a permanent resident, or a property owner, or a business owner in Prince Edward County
- I am 16 years of age or older
- I am not an employee of the Corporation of the County of Prince Edward
