The Athol Hall was filled with ghoulish fun this past Saturday night during Athol Recreation Centre’s 1st ( and hopefully annual) Halloween Dance!!!
The disguised guests danced the night away to the music of Little Bluff while enjoying seasonal homemade butternut squash soup made by committee member Glen Wallis and sandwiches catered by the Industrial Cafe in Picton.
Here are a few of the characters that showed up:
- Survivors from erupted volcanoes in Hawaii!
- The Ice Princess and Cat Woman!
- Some who needed a good bath and a visit to the Barber Shop in Picton!
- Whereas others were “class acts”.
- Some came by horseback!
Some from far away lands!
- There were maids serving bloody drinks…..
- and those who needed a drink!
- Some were dashing…….
and some were swashbuckling!
Some were cheeky……
and some were x-rated!
But rest assured all did have fun!
As the night did leave the mime speechless!
It is going to get Scary in Cherry Valley Tonight!

Athol Recreation Centre’s Hallowe’en Dance !
Join us for an evening of witches and ghosts dancing the night away to the band Little Bluff.
Saturday October 27th
8 pm to midnight (or until the werewolf howls)
$10 at the door.
Cash Bar.
Light Supper.
Costumes are mandatory for entrance! (Come on a little make up won’t hurt you, how about a mask!)
